Some of my favorite memories? Walking the floating Queen Emma Bridge at sunset, standing on one foot on a giant ostrich egg (yes—it held me!), and learning about the healing properties of aloe during the plantation tour. I loved trying sopi iguana (iguana soup) and learning the word “dushi,” which can mean sweet, nice, or even sexy. From caves to catamarans and colorful murals to hidden beaches, Curaçao was packed with unexpected joy.
