📍Places Visited: Paris, Versailles
Paris offers a unique blend of world-renowned art, historic architecture, and vibrant urban life. From the cobblestone streets of Montmartre to the grandeur of Versailles, the city is filled with iconic landmarks, museums, and cultural experiences. It remains a destination rich in history, artistry, and unforgettable views, offering something for every traveler seeking both culture and adventure.
Even in a bustling city, there are ways to recharge. Rooftop terraces, hotel lounges, and quiet cafés offer calm spots to watch the sunset or enjoy a drink above the urban energy. Walks along the Seine, early morning strolls in historic squares, or a visit to Palace of Versailles gardens provide serene escapes.
Take mid-day breaks to relax in a park, café, or by the river—pausing to breathe and observe the city helps balance long sightseeing days.
Paris reveals its culture through history, art, and local traditions. Visit Montmartre for the city’s artistic legacy, explore Le Marais for boutique artisans and traditional cafés, and see iconic squares like Place des Vosges showcasing centuries-old architecture. Observing local markets, street performers, and everyday rituals—like café life or boulangeries at work—offers an authentic window into Parisian culture.
Spend time watching and engaging with locals in smaller neighborhoods and markets; these everyday interactions often reveal more about Parisian life than the major attractions.
The hop-on hop-off tour is perfect for first-time visitors—it saves walking time, gives context with onboard commentary, and lets you plan your stops at major attractions like the Louvre, Notre-Dame, and Champs-Élysées.

Paris offered countless memorable experiences, though not everything met expectations. Seeing the Mona Lisa in the Louvre was iconic, but I wasn’t overly impressed—the painting is surprisingly small, and the museum is filled with far more elaborate and captivating works of art. Exploring the vast galleries takes hours.
The Moulin Rouge cabaret was an exclusive and exhilarating evening—definitely a trip highlight. Touring the Palace of Versailles was another unforgettable experience, with its grandeur, sprawling gardens, and opulent interiors leaving a lasting impression.
We also took the elevator to the top of the Eiffel Tower at night, enjoying panoramic views of the illuminated city that made the Paris skyline truly come alive.
While Paris has undeniable charm, the food fell a bit short of expectations, some streets felt gritty, and hotel rooms were noticeably small. Despite this, wandering historic neighborhoods, strolling along the Seine, and taking in panoramic nighttime views from the Eiffel Tower made the trip truly memorable.
